Empire is one of the most popular residential areas or zones populated by hookers in Lagos. This place is between Surulere and Yaba.
It became a regular place for hookers because of the booming activities of the late Afro-beat Legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, who lived there before passing away. As a result,
the place became a hub for all and allows every natural activities, aside robbery which is frowned upon and looked as ‘unAfrican’.
Till date, you could see hookers up and about but at a slower pace.
